Hollywood Community Chest Fashion Show (1950)

On this day in 1950, a fashion show was hosted by Hollywood to raise money. It was a star-studded show with the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Shirley Temple and Carmen Miranda performing.

Don't you just love the gowns. I wish I had the Gene Tierney outfit. I don't remember which film she wore it in but it's second from the left, next to Ms Temple.

Elizabeth Taylor as usual looked flawless and looked exactly as she did on films. She's definitely the type that didn't need touch-ups.

Among the many stars attending the show were Joan Fontaine, Glenn Ford and Eve Arden.

    Elizabeth Taylor looked absolutely stunning...she was definitely perfect in every angle. I wish Gene Tierney modelled her outfit instead of someone else.
