2011/١٤٣٢ Calendar

Every year I make my own calendars but I'd decided not to do them this year because they take a long time to create.
A few days ago, I decided to do them after all http://www.emocutez.com but this time I made them in a planner style instead of your usual monthly style so I wouldn't have to spend a whole week on one calendar (I usually do one for me and one for my sister).

These are my 2008 calendars, I used pictures from the anime 'Lucky Star'. Mine is Konata and my sister's is Kagami:

I didn't do one for 2009 http://www.emocutez.com but I did for 2010...I used some of the same things from the 2008 calendar but changed mine mostly because I wanted it to look more green (the pink is my sister's)

Those calendars took so long to create because I added yearly events from the:
  • Islamic Calendar  (like Eid, Ramadhan etc),
  • National Calendar (like National Day etc)
  • International Events (like Peace Day, Chocolate Day etc)
  • Family Events (like Birthdays etc)
I put these events on the picture itself instead of the dates and we knew the date from the colours of the words (easier to search). Here's how they turned out (we hung them on the wall)

I loved it so much http://www.emocutez.com that I went ahead and did a 2010 planner that we stuck on a board in our room (we used it to put our appointments)

I am not going to make a planner this year because when we re-decorated our room we removed the board.

Every year I like to add a new touch to the calendars I make (well new to me atleast) because I get bored looking at the same thing every year.

The thing that always bothered me about myself is that I never know the date from the arabic/islamic calendar which makes me feel pathetic http://www.emocutez.com I don't want to be one of those arabians who have no past!!!
Sooooo I decided to make an english calendar AND AN ARABIC too hehehehe

I like the Keep Calm and Carry On posters so I used those this time and it suits our newly decorated room!

I had a hard time doing the arabic text because my photoimpact doesn't support languages (I thought they all did http://www.emocutez.com) so I typed the text online then captured the screen and pasted it...anyway that's why the arabic font is not that nice!

Again mine is the green and my sister's is the pink.
We love tea & cupcakes (who doesn't...losers that's who http://www.emocutez.com) so I used those for the english calendars and we also love reading and want to do more of it so I used that (in arabic) for my sister's one.

A few years ago I started writing a story for a video game, sort of like Final Fantasy but I stopped after the 9th chapter. I have all the story as notes, I just never feel like writing, I always find obstacles and make excuses, SOOOOO I used the Keep Calm and Write On (in arabic) one for me. This may also inspire my sister to start writing her story.
My sister has the same passions and interests as me that I sometimes think she's my imaginary friend http://www.emocutez.com
